Subject Law Enforcement
Audience This CorePass is aimed at individuals seeking an introductory understanding of the Family Liaison Officer role, including those working in or aspiring to roles in law enforcement, emergency management, humanitarian response, or related community support services.

Description CorePass Standard 7067:2025 graduates have a foundational awareness of the Family Liaison Officer role, including its purpose, responsibilities, and the legal, ethical, and operational frameworks that guide it. They understand the value of empathetic communication, confidentiality, and dignity when engaging with families in crisis, and can outline key processes such as information management, inter-agency coordination, and support for reunification and psychosocial welfare. This awareness equips them to recognise best practice approaches and the ways in which FLOs contribute to resilience and trust in emergency and investigative contexts.
